Scott Kelsey
I am the lab manager in Dr. Katie Hossler's lab at Wright State University. I earned my MS from The Ohio State University Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology in Spring 2016. My education and experience are primarily in the biogeochemical cycling of carbon through inland waters. I have worked in a variety of settings from headwater streams to forests to wetlands. My current research will focus on using hyperspectral reflectance measurements of stream and river water to determine the constituent compounds of the dissolved organic carbon pool, in comparison with other established methods such as EEM-PARAFAC and absorbance/transmittance. I am also in the last 6 months of my contract so if anyone is looking to hire a hardworking biogeochemist as a lab manager, research assistant, or technician in the near-future, you will be pleased as punch to know that I'm available and a great option.
